Designated Associates is a private limited company with a difference, 5 years ago the Managing Director (Elaine Owen) bought the controlling share of the company and set out socially enterprising aims and objectives. The main aims are to generate profit to further social goals and to undertake demand led good works whilst growing a sustainable business that makes a real difference to peoples lives in the local, social and business communities.
The following has been achieved in the year Jan 2011 – Jan 2012
- 1000+ hours of volunteer mentor activity
- 700 hours of social media training and services have been donated to local business /third sector/faith sector organisations
- 600 hours to women’s enterprise related projects.
- 1000 hours supporting Intermediary Labour market for unemployed members of the local community.
- 500 hours have been given pro bono supporting school/youth work experience programmes.
- 20 training places upon commercial courses have been given away to students or unemployed people.
- Board Room and Training Suite hire waived for local business use
The following has been achieved in the year Jan 2009 – Jan 2010:
- 100 hours of graphic & web design have been donated to third sector/faith sector organisations & 150 hours to women’s enterprise related projects.
- 75 hours of IT related support & service has been donated to women’s enterprise related projects & 40 hours third sector organisations.
- 2000 hours have been given pro bono supporting work experience for unemployed members of the local community.
- 300 hours have been given pro bono supporting school/youth work experience programmes.
- 20 training places upon commercial courses have been given away to students or unemployed people.
- 600 hours of training have been donated to residents of Wirral Partnership Homes (local social landlord)
- Elaine has given many hours to influence & shape strategy for women in work and women’s enterprise, locally, regionally & nationally.
